What can we do to help to help?

At home:

  • Find uses in your house for reusing paper bags and plastic bags. You can use some for lining your trash can or for carrying your lunch or dinner to work or school.
  • If some of them cannot be reused, recycle them. Don't throw them away in the trash.
  • Keep them in a specific place where you will surely remember them when leaving the house, or you can keep them in you car so they are always with you.
  • Challenge yourself by going for at least a week without accumulating new plastic or paper bag.

At the store:

  • Don't forget your reusable bags inside the car! Make use of any type of a device to remind you to grab one or two of those reusable bags before you go to the store.
  • Make sure to bring more reusable bags than usual when you go to the store in case you will buy more products than what you have planned.
  • If you forget to bring reusable bags or you don't have enough, ask the store assistant for a paper bag or buy a reusable bag from the store.
  • You think twice about allowing the retailer to give you a single-use bag if the things that you bought are few and small and would be easy to carry. If you are purchasing more things than you can handle with a bag, ask the store retailer to use as few bags as possible.
  • Avoid to use single-use bags as much as you can.

We are so welcome for your suggestions on how we can help to saving Mother Earth.
